What will students learn Students will know about a range of technologies and the threats when using the technology, such as cyber-bullying, inappropriate content i.e. selfies and sexting, online grooming, online identity and privacy. Students should be able to provide examples of each of the above areas, how to stay safe with each threat, the impact they have on individuals and families, and who they should contact if they have or a friend have experienced one or more of the above threats.
Key Knowledge that students should know at the end of 'Topic' This is the knowledge that students will meet for the first time in this topic  Students will know about a range of technologies and the threats when using the technology, such as cyber-bullying, inappropriate content i.e. selfies and sexting, online grooming, online identity and privacy. Students should be able to provide examples of each of the above areas, how to stay safe with each threat, the impact they have on individuals and families, and who they should contact if they have or a friend have experienced one or more of the above threats.
This is knowledge that students may have met before but will need to deepen their understanding  Students should know the following from KS2: use technology safely, respectfully and responsibly; recognise acceptable/unacceptable behaviour; identify a range of ways to report concerns about content and contact.
Key Skills that students should be able to demonstrate at the end of 'Topic' This is the skills  that students will meet for the first time in this topic Students should be able to identify and justify who they should contact if they are or a friend are experiencing a threat, such as cyber-bullying, inappropriate content i.e. selfies and sexting, online grooming, online identity and privacy. Students should be able identify and describe a range of strategies on how to stay safe with each of the threats.
