| This is knowledge that students may have met before but will need to deepen their understanding | Retrieving knowledge of key developments around this era, namely the British Empire and the involvement in the Transatlantic Trade of Enslaved People. Some students have patchy knowledge of conditions during the 19th century from studying conditions locally at KS2. | ||

Being able to understand how features of society can change and continue, whilst making judgements regarding the extent of change. | |
