Key Knowledge that students should know at the end of 'Topic' This is the knowledge that students will meet for the first time in this topic  In this unit Students will learn about: looking after ourselves and others in an emergency including basic first aid, vaping, mindfulness, cancer checks and emotional literacy.
This is knowledge that students may have met before but will need to deepen their understanding  Most students will have previously studied aspects of Health and Well Being and may have prior knowledge of promoting positive emotional health
Key Skills that students should be able to demonstrate at the end of 'Topic' This is the skills  that students will meet for the first time in this topic In order to prepare students for life they must be given the opportunity to develop skills and attributes such as resilience, self-esteem, risk-management, teamworking and critical thinking in the context of three core themes: health and wellbeing, relationships and living in the wider world (including economic wellbeing and aspects of careers education).Students will acquire the skills to make healthy judgements and decide for themselves regarding risky situations which may require emergency life saving skills. Students will learn skills to resist vaping and also skills involved with improving mindfulness and positive mental health. They will also be aware of what is required to self examine for cancer and how to seek help if required
