  • Friday 17 June 2022 Uniform Exchange We are offering a uniform exchange in school. With a mission to ease financial strain for our families whilst also limiting the impact on the environment. We are asking for any donations such as Blazers from Year 10, Jumpers from Year 11's and PE Kits.

  • Tuesday 29 March 2022 Young Enterprise - No10 Downing Street On Tuesday 29th March four of our Year 10 Young Enterprise team were invited to have lunch in 10 Downing Street with one of the Prime Ministers Special Advisers Myles Stacey. At the lunch the girls talked about their experience of taking part in the Young Enterprise Company Programme through Project IF. This was a once in a lifetime experience and the girls did themselves and SJT proud.
  • Tuesday 29 March 2022 Form Time Class Readers This week form 7T will be starting chapter 7 of 'The Dunkirk Story' by Bali Rai. As part of our form time class readers, each form is reading a book with their form tutor. 7T particular like the character 'Mush' so far!
  • Tuesday 29 March 2022 Theatre Trip Y10 Btec Tech Award Performing Arts students visited Liverpool Empire Theatre on the 24thMarchto watch The National Theatre's performance of The Curious Incident of the Dog in The Night time.
  • Wednesday 23 March 2022 Arts Award We are super excited to be holding our first live music performance for the whole of Year 9 today. We have visiting performers coming in to deliver a live show, so that students can experience a live Arts event. This will fulfil Part B of the Arts Award Bronze which all KS3 students work towards during their Arts lessons at SJT.
  • Tuesday 15 March 2022 MFL Stretch Projects These are some of the wonderful models made by Year 8 French students as part of their MFL Stretch projects. They chose a topic connected to France or French, researched it and presented their finished project to their class. We have an Eiffel Tower, the pyramids at the Louvre and a beautiful chateau in Luxembourg. Lots of time and effort went into making these amazing models and we're super proud of the students!
  • Thursday 3 March 2022 World Book Day Students took part in many events around school today to celebrate World Book Day.
  • Wednesday 2 March 2022 Nelson & Colne College Boat Race Challenge On Wednesday 2ndMarch, students who are part of the Boat Race Challenge visited Nelson and Colne College.
  • Friday 25 February 2022 Sportshall Athletics Excellence On Thursday 24th February the Year 7 Boys Athletic Team took part in the Burnley Sportshall Athletics Competition, where they had to work as a team to accumulate as many points as they could in Running, Throwing and Jumping events. The boys worked really hard which resulted in a 'GOLD MEDAL'. Because they finished in 1st place they will now represent Burnley at the County Athletics Championship.
  • Friday 9 July 2021 Year 10 Careers Day On Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July Year 10 students received 2 days of Careers based learning. We were very lucky to be able to invite guest speakers into school for the first time this academic year and the students really enjoyed working with them.
  • Thursday 8 July 2021 WW1 Experience Yesterday our Year 10 historians participated in a virtual reality workshop discovering and experiencing the battlefields of World War One. #history #historybroughttolife
