What will students learn? How to extend their knowledge and skill of using colour theory to create tone and depth within their artwork. To extend their knowledge and skill of observation by using primary source as well as secondary.
Key Knowledge that students should know at the end of 'Topic' This is the knowledge that students will meet for the first time in this topic  The social and historical context of Cubism and the influential artists of the movement focussing on the life and work of Juan Gris. Students will understand how to work in the style of the Cubists to create their own inspired piece of art.
This is knowledge that students may have met before but will need to deepen their understanding  Students should have gained knowledge of the colour wheel and colour mixing. They should understand what harmonious and contrasting colours are.
Key Skills that students should be able to demonstrate at the end of 'Topic' This is the skills  that students will meet for the first time in this topic How to use watercolour to create blended colour that creates tone as well as depth. How to compose a cubist design. How to observe from primary source.
This is skills that students may have met before but will need to develop  How to use colour to create tone. How to colour mix using secondary and tertiary colours.
