What will students learn

Students will learn to perform basic skills of passing, receiving, defence, attack, zoning, positions, team play and rules of netball.  Students will also develop the knowledge and understanding of the rules of the game (e.g. For example centre pass and how a game is started in relation to positional play) Students will develop their communication, teamwork and leadership skills through a series of different activities. Students will also develop an understanding for tactics related to attack, (GS/GA/WA) and defence, (GK, GD, WD) Students will also experience a variety of defending and attacking techniques and how to keep possession or intercept the ball.

Key Knowledge that students should know at the end of 'Topic' This is the knowledge that students will meet for the first time in this topic 

Students will learn how to physically demonstrate how to pass and received a ball using a variety of passes to include chest, bounce and shoulder. Students will learn through small sided games how to defend and attack whilst applying rules such as footwork, obstruction, 3 second rule and offside.

This is knowledge that students may have met before but will need to deepen their understanding 

Students will retrieve their physical practice of knowledge through game play and muscle memory. For example retrieval of footwork rule in application of catching a ball on the move and passing.

Students will be able play in small sided 2v1, 2v2, 3v3 High 5 and Full 7 V 7 game.
