What will students learn

Students will learn stillness, mime, gesture, travel and turning. Students will learn the  importance of warming up and the physical benefits, raises heart rate to allow blood flow to increase to pump efficiently around the body providing oxygen to muscles. The importance of cooling down after physical activity. Muscle groups in relation to warming up and use in sports/activities

Show what is stillness. Discuss idea of musicality and stillness and apply to the dance. Discuss idea of musicality and stillness and apply to the dance with control and precision. Show what is a mime. Discuss idea of musicality and mime and apply to the dance. Discuss idea of musicality and mime and apply to the dance with control and precision.

Show Zumba dance through teacher led performance. Discuss idea of Zumba and demonstrate with some musicality. Demonstrate Zumba dance with musicality, control and precision. Evaluate idea of Zumba dance and the style.

Show photograph stills, mime, celebration and Zumba dance with help of teacher. Independently show photograph stills, mime, celebration and Zumba dance with some musicality, precision and control.
